The Town of McCandless is located in the center of the "North Hills" of Allegheny County just 10 miles north of the city of Pittsburgh. Established in 1944, Peebles Volunteer fire department is one of three fire companies that serve more than 29,000 residents over 16.4 square miles in times of need. Our department is 100% volunteer and ready to protect the citizens of McCandless 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We also provide mutual aid services to other nearby communities such as Ross Township, Hampton Township, Pine Township and many others.
